L'Wren Scott's Fall 2008 line was edgy, clean, and rocking. The Victorian-influence (capes, brass buttons, tie-up boots, lace) on metallic rocker jackets and slim, body-conscious dresses and pants were chic, and nothing of the bad boudoir or tasteless rock-and-roll look surfaced (no skulls or skanky corsets, thank God). Instead, L'Wren Scott's line was downtown-goes-uptown in a Queen Victoria-meets-Metallica kind of way.
