Blogger Meet Up: Lynn from All Things NYC

After meeting the fabulous Wendy Brandes earlier this week, I channeled my chutzpah and decided to ask Lynn from All Things NYC to (bubble) tea. I've admired Lynn for some time now; her style is eclectic, professional, chic, and enviable. She graciously agreed to meet me at Saint's Alp Teahouse for some addictive bubble tea and toast with condensed milk. (For those of you who don't know, bubble tea consists of Chinese milk tea, either cold or hot, with tapioca "bubbles" that one slurps through a large straw. I usually don't get the bubbles, though.) Lynn's charming and sweet personality--not to mention her gorgeous smile--immediately won me over.

We took a shot together, but my photoshop skills are pretty nonexistent so I couldn't edit my face out of it. Here's what I wore:
~
Blouse: Antonio Beraldi
Cuff: Hermes
Jeans: Rock & Republic
Boots: Ann Taylor
~
For some reason, whenever I meet up with another blogger, it's a veritable deluge outside. This time I chose practicality over fashion and wore my "I-don't-care-if-they-get-ruined" boots. By the time we parted ways, the skies cleared up and the sun finally emerged.
~
If you haven't already, do check out Lynn's amazing blog, All Things NYC. It's highly addictive!

Ooh! How lovely to have so many gorgeous/fun/fashionable bloggers in your city, and to meet up with them! :) Lynn's smile is SO gorgeous & I'm sure, infectious!

LOVE your Antonio Berardi blouse, so beautiful!

In response to your Q in your last comment: The movie is called 'The Time Guardian', was filmed in the 80's and is truly horrendous (haha)! I'm sure grandpa was embarassed by it too, as I remember mentioning the movie to him in 1989, when I had come to Oz for a visit and watched the movie, and he didn't say anything...Acting was more of a side hobby really (he hasn't done it for quite a long time)...he was also in a BBC series, which was funny 'cause my family & I were living in the UK and watched the series, not knowing he would show up in Part II, that was quite a shock, haha! :)

Hey, Thumblina!

Isn't this an amazing world: my husband called this morning from London to say he read my blog (while I was having a 'sleep-over' with my 7 1/2 year old niece - today's her half birthday - out at my family's summer place) & he read your comment about meeting in the city.

I'd love to! I was going to ask you but I was thinking you might think I"m weird. I agree with 'proudly': it really is fabulous how these virtual friendships develop. Just on these comments alone, I already feel I know proudly a bit, and -h... without knowing people's names or in your case, face! And Lynn has been so sweet, too.

Sorry so long - can't send an email from my laptop, but can receive, and of course, can still comment! I don't know when I'll actually come into the city - it's a way's from here, about 1 1/2 hrs - but I/we definitely will. If you'd like, email @ my mom's address: smartyrt@juno.com and we can get an idea of our times. My husband joins us this Thursday and we're in the NY general area til the 21st.

Thank you for asking: I'm the same way, life's too short! I've got so many new friends simply from going up to them and asking to shoot them for my blog!

It's official: my comment is like 10x the length of your blog. : ) Hope it's drying up in the city, it's looking like a gorgeous day out here. Hope yours is wonderful.

xoxo

Happy sunny tuesday to you, Thumbelina!

Can´t believe I missed your post!
Had to smile about myself as I saw the first photo and it was like "Yes, I know this girl, it´s Thumbelina" but my second thought was... "no.. Thumbelina doesn´t show her face...but this is Lynn with her charming smile";)

You 2 lucky girls!!! I wish I could take a flight to NY to meet you, too!!! Would be MY pleasure!!!!!

Shame on me I don´t know much about bubble tea but it sounds delicous and like having lots of fun!

You look gorgeous when you dress casual and tres chic and you look gorgeous when you dress romantic and you look gorgeous when you dress cool and hip! ... And it´s always Thumbelina ;)

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead with lots of sun and bubbles!
