Silver Belles

Hat: Albert Swanepoel for Gap
Blouse: BCBG
Geode Necklace: Club Monaco
Shorts: Zara
Snakeskin Sandals: Prada
Kindle
~
So I decided to take my own advice and resurrect these Prada sandals I've had for years. I was reminded why I wore them nearly to death when I initially purchased them: they're comfortable, chic, and versatile. Every woman should own at least one pair of silver shoes.

We spent part of the afternoon reading in Bryant Park. About a month ago, my husband received a free Kindle in the mail (another company/credit card perk), and I have been hooked ever since. Although I have my gripes about it (no page numbers; formatting issues), it really is quite an amazing device. And classic novels, like Anna Karenina, are usually free!

Another casual outfit, this time for a dinner out:

Jacket: Club Monaco
Necklace: Aldo
Tank: F21
Lizard Clutch: YSL
Same shorts and sandals as above

Hi! Happy weekend to you. Your outfit at the park is lovely! And I wish my hubby gets a Kindle, too! Sighs.
Your CM jacket really has a nice fit.

I'd know those little BP chairs anywhere! My old office was right across 42nd St (on 5th) and I'd have lunch there often . . .

Oh I LOVE the shoes, and love both outfits! I esp. like the top shot, in the park. Now here's my big question: how did you shoot it? Did you get your husband to shoot it? Because I've tried asking my husband to shoot me - I focused & set up the shot first, even shot him, then we traded places - and (for a simple, posing, head to toe shot- nothing arty) I got a lot of wall above my head, and from about the thighs, up. No feet.
I also love Maison des Reveries, by the way. Thank you. I'm going to link her, that's something I'm going to visit again & again. She's ranting about NY weather the same way I've been here!

Sorry for the long comment - I was actually writing back on my own post, which is silly - I can't find your email, would you mind sending it again? jill@haybooks.com
Thanks Thummie : )

You are too cute! I love both these outfits... they both seem to me like the perfect summertime outfits for a nice day out in New York City. Love the light/airy BCBG white blouse in the first outfit and love that F21 tank in the second!! It looks so posh paired with that sleek blazer. And the shoes are lovely as well!

ah, your second outfit is positively adorable! (not that the first outfit isn't super cute too :) ) all those shades of gray look great together. and that clutch is really something else.

Thanks dear! Great you like my outfit! ;)

Anyhoo, yea I agree with you on the last 30 minutes being too draggy... I think the fighting was quite cool but it was definitely overdone.

Wishing you a great weekend ahead!

Wish I could participate in the current/elliot contest!

Sending you love,
Adeliet
