Renaissance (Wo)Man

Courtesy of D&G fall 2009:

1. This ruffled peplum jacket is on my must-have list for fall (I'd wear it with skinny jeans and some fierce studded or zippered ankle booties):

2. It's hard to see, but the print on this bubble skirt is like something out of the Sistine Chapel:

3. I nearly fainted when I saw this sumptuous coat/cape:

4. A divine turtleneck with adorable puffed sleeves:

Courtesy of Burberry Prorsum fall 2009:

1. Like a purple lithograph on ethereal silk:

2. Boho meets Botticelli:

Happy sunny monday morning, Thumbelina!

You selected some truly beautiful pieces!
Love the way Burberry and D&G show these old "pictures"... a small part of Michelangelo´s sistine chapel ceiling on a skirt!
... When Boho meets Botticelli: Thanks for mention him, didn´t know the Burberry print was "him". Like especially his "The Birth of Venus"-

Art and Fashion... always a thrilling mixture!

love your tailored lace skirt - such a better cut for you. also love the peplum jacket - would look amazing with any simple bottom (say, black or copper pencil skirt) at a cultural event.

i've only recently figured out that i don't like having tons of clothes, but would rather buy only a few items per season that are fabulous - may i ask you to share a list of your fav designers or lines? i can guess a few, but you probably know about some great people i've never heard of :) of course everyone needs secrets, so feel free not to share...

Little Fashion/Martina--Actually I have no idea who the painter is--I just liked the sound of the two Bs...:) Now I'll have to investigate!

I need the D&G turtleneck!!! It's perfect for fall. It's so ornate, but wearable. I can imagine all kinds of amazing outfits with that turtleneck. And to think I usually loathe turtlenecks!!!
