Speaking of ruby slippers, I thought I'd share some pictures of a strange and curious gift I once received:
The box (looks innocent enough):

Then the surprise...

In use as a
doorstopper!
"She's gone where the goblins go below - below - below. Yo-ho, let's open up and sing and ring the bells out."

What's up with the tacky stockings?!
Another functioning shoe gift from a dear friend (pictures slide into the metallic wedges):
OMG the doorstopper is so uber cute. ;)
ReplyDeleteKuckuck dear Thumbelina ;)

Wishing you a wonderful friday!!!
Miss M.
Okay, that doorstop is too adorable.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I get "shoe gifts", too. Sometimes they're cute, but often they're just itsy little dustcatchers that make me think, "How about you stop spending money all these shoe-shaped notecards & picture frames & whatnot and buy me some actual shoes???"
Hello again!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to drop you a short line to
let you know ... a

OMG OMG OMG!!! I just love the movie! The wonderful Wizard of Oz! Dorothy, The Scarecrow, The Cowardly Lion and the Tin Man (yeah, Toto of course, too). Some years ago they've showed the movie in the morning of Christmas day on TV - oh, that was a glorious time in life...
